The Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of EMS and Trauma System, recently launched the Arizona Treat and Refer Recognition Program by publishing the manual and application on its website. This innovative program is the result of several months of collaboration between ADHS, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), and EMS stakeholders.

Organizations that seek Treat and Refer recognition must implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation program under the direction of their medical director and chief executive. Visit the AZ Department of Health Services Website for information on how to obtain Treat and Refer recognition.
