In a Request for Proposal (RFP) that opens Oct. 5, AHCCCS is seeking a vendor to provide Serious Mental Illness (SMI) eligibility determinations as well as Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) eligibility determinations. The contract will begin October 1, 2023.
This RFP provides standardized definitions and criteria for SMI and SED eligibility determinations, creating a consistent application of eligibility processes statewide. These processes will allow the vendor to make a final eligibility determination and will create a method to track member and service needs while also ensuring the accurate use of funding.
Proposals are due by December 6, 2022, 3:00 p.m., MST.
