Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership for Success (SPF-PFS)

Background

The goals for the Partnerships for Success program are based on the premise that changes at the community level shall, over time, lead to measurable changes at the State level. By working together to foster change, states and their funded communities of high need can more effectively begin to overcome the challenges underlying their substance use prevention priorities and achieve the goals of the SPF-PFS Grant. Specifically targeted subpopulations include veterans and their families, Native Americans and students in higher education.

The Goals are:

  • The reduction of underage drinking among persons aged 12 to 20
  • The reduction of prescription drug misuse and abuse among persons aged 12 to 25
