The Tribal Relations Liaison serves as a point of contact for information and issues concerning health care policy that affects American Indian AHCCCS members.
The Tribal Relations Liaison is part of the Office of Intergovernmental Relations and works with various divisions of AHCCCS to implement tribal consultation as appropriate. The Tribal Relations Liaison also serves as the agency's representative on the Advisory Council on Indian Health Care.
The Liaison works with the 22 tribes in Arizona, 3 Indian Health Service (IHS) areas, tribally operated health programs, urban Indian health programs, and other interested organizations to improve the quality and accessibility of health care for American Indian AHCCCS members.
