Indian Health Service Facilities, Tribally-Operated 638 Health Programs, and Urban Indian Health Programs (ITUs) may be referred to as American Indian Health Facilities.
The following is provided to explain what the American Indian Health Facilties (or ITUs) are, the services that are available, and where they are located:
Indian Health Service Facilities, Tribally-Operated 638 Health Programs, and Urban Indian Health Programs (ITUs) may be referred to as American Indian Health Facilities. They provide general health care services for eligible American Indians and American Indian AHCCCS members, particularly American Indian AHCCCS members enrolled in the AHCCCS American Indian Health Program.
Various medical services are provided at ITU facilities. Each facility may not offer identical services; some services may be available only at certain facilities. Usually, available services may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Necessary services not offered at an ITU facility can be obtained from AHCCCS-registered ITU providers or other AHCCCS registered providers.
Arizona has many different ITUs located across the state. The following information provides facility names, phone numbers and locations (mailing addresses) for Indian Health Service (IHS) Area offices, Phoenix Area IHS facilities, Navajo Area IHS facilities, Tucson Area IHS facilities, Tribally-Operated 638 Programs, and Urban Indian Health Programs.
