AHCCCS Continuation Bill

On January 16, 2013, Director Tom Betlach will be presenting an overview of the AHCCCS agency to the House Health committee. Following his presentation, the committee will have a hearing on the AHCCCS continuation bill, HB 2044. Background

Every ten years, the Legislature must review and decide whether to continue the AHCCCS program. As part of this process, the Auditor General conducted a sunset review of the program using the criteria in Arizona’s sunset law and presented its findings before the Committee of Reference (COR) at the AHCCCS Sunset Review Hearing on November 13, 2013. At the hearing, the COR approved the motion to continue AHCCCS for another ten years. Additional information can be found in the links below:
