Out of ten bidders, AHCCCS has awarded Acute Care contracts to seven managed care companies that will provide services to over one million Arizonans. Two companies bid on one available statewide contract to provide integrated physical and behavioral health services for children with special health care needs, known as Children’s Rehabilitative Services (CRS).

AHCCCS CMS ICD10 Overview Meeting

Given the unprecedented interest in the upcoming Acute Care RFP, the AHCCCS Administration wants to ensure that MCO meetings and opportunities to interact with AHCCCS leadership are transparent and equitable. Consequently, AHCCCS will be hosting a CMS ICD10 Overview for current AHCCCS Contractors and other interested managed care organizations.

This meeting will be held at AHCCCS (701 E Jefferson, Gold Room, Phoenix, Arizona) from 8:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012.

AHCCCS Meeting to Discuss DRG Inpatient Methodology

On Thursday, June 14, AHCCCS will be hosting an open meeting to discuss the upcoming efforts in exploring an option to the current inpatient hospital per diem payment methodology.

The meeting will be held from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Since 1993, AHCCCS has paid hospital inpatient claims using a tiered per diem fee schedule that was developed internally. [More]
