HIPAA 5010 / ICD 10 Consortium

The first Arizona HIPAA Consortium meetings for 5010 and the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ISD) were held in 2009.

The 5010 replaces the 4010a as the most current version of federally mandated HIPAA transactions. ISD, known as ISD-10 because it is in its tenth edition, provides coding for the classification of every disease or health condition, symptoms, and causes. This coding is used by hospitals, providers, and others. It is used for reimbursement systems, automated medical decision support, and providing data for tracking morbidity and mortality statistics.

Information for each scheduled Consortium Meeting, such as agendas, minutes and issues, and action items and updates is provided.
