Resources for information about Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has made a number of tools that are available at its website at: www.medicare.gov.

Drug Plan Finder
A person enters information about themselves and the area in which they reside.
The finder will then list the plans that are available in that area and will provide comparison information between the plans:
http://www.medicare.gov/MPDPF/Public/Include/DataSection/Questions/MPDPFIntro.asp?version=default&browser=IE%7C67CWin2000&language=English&defaultstatus=0&pagelist=Home&ViewType=Public&PDPYear=2006&MAPDYear=2006&MPDPF%5FMPPF%5FIntegrate=N This link is to content outside of the AHCCCS web site.

Medicare Formulary Finder
With this tool, a person can enter their specific drugs to find the drug plans that provide that specific prescription:

This is the list of the MA-PDs that are in Arizona by showing availability by county.
It also shows the different plans that are offered by each organization and provides information about premiums, covered drugs and whether the plans offer mail order.  http://www.medicare.gov/medicarereform/mapdpdocs/MALandscapeaz.pdf This link is to content outside of the AHCCCS web site.
