August 2008 Updates

There are several technical changes for the month of August.

Reminder - Date Format Change

Please note we have initiated a revision in the format of the AMPM. We are relocating the policy revision dates from the bottom of each page to the beginning of each policy. We believe this will allow readers to better identify when a policy has been modified. We will implement the new revision to date formats as we review policy. Therefore, we will have more than one format until we have completed our review of the Manual.

Chapter 1200

The format of Chapter 1200 has been revised to correspond to the format previously adopted for the AMPM. This is a technical correction, not a change in policy. Note that each section of Chapter 1200 policy is now specifically identified by an alpha numeric designation.

Additionally, there is one technical change to Policy 1230.

Policy 1230 - Alzheimer's Pilot Project References:
Policy 1230-A has been modified to remove references to the Alzheimer's Pilot Project as the program was completed on 12/31/2007.

Chapter 1300, Policy 1320, Attendant Care Worker Roles and Responsibilities

The text has been changed to reflect that of the two forms of identification needed for pre-employment only one is required to include a photo. This is a technical correction and not a change in policy.

Chapter 1600, Policy 1620 Exhibits

Exhibits 1620-2 and 1620-5 have been modified to remove references to the Alzheimer's Pilot Project, which was completed on 12/31/2007.
